China Table Tennis College is the first professional institution of table tennis in the world which jointly established by General Administration of Sport of China and Shanghai Municipal Government. It is located in Shanghai University of Sport with teaching, training, scientific research and international communication. It also has degree education of undergraduate, master, Ph.D. as well as the mission of cultivating outstanding youths. We hold the Summer School every year in order to further promote the development of world table tennis and improve the technical level of the youths from various countries.
1. Enrollment Target
The Summer School this year will recruit at least twenty young foreign table tennis athletes，table tennis enthusiasts, as well as Sports major students( table tennis) between the age of 16 to 25 from all over the world. These applicants shall master basic table tennis techniques and be interested in the Chinese culture (Chinese and table tennis cultural activities included in this project).
2. Condition
The players need to know and speak English or Chinese well for better communication.
The College will provide participants training place, related learning materials, urban transportation, hospitality, as well as professional training team for free.
3. Arrangement
This Summer School will begin from 19th June to 19th July (The date will be modified based on the actual situation), 19th June will be the arrival day and 19th July will be the departure day. The activities will last from 20th June to 18th July. Students will have table tennis techniques and tactics training, table tennis cultural communication and related sightseeing tours, etc. The purpose of the event is to improve the participants’ table tennis playing level, to help them learn the school-running characteristics of Shanghai University of Sport for the integration of sports science and practice, and to understand Chinese culture.

5. Application process
1. Online application: http://admission.sus.edu.cn/, register via email account.
2. After successfully registering, go to the application page and click online application→Shanghai Government Scholarship→General Visiting Student→Shanghai Summer School (3S) Pingpong Program, and fill in the application form.
3. When applying online, you must upload:
l The bio-data page of the passport copy
l Personal ID photo
l School personnel shall upload proof documents of student status: photocopy of student ID card/certificate of enrollment issued by the school or copy of university admission notice (in both Chinese and English, original copy and Chinese or English translation in other languages); Social personnel shall provide work certificate (in Chinese or English, original copies and Chinese or English translations in case of other languages)
l Be sure to write down your contact information, especially personal email address and WeChat account.

6. Admission letter
1. Within one week after submitting the application, the applicant will receive the admission result, and the admission result will be sent to the email address you provided previously. If you do not receive a notice within a week, please write to summerschoolcttc@163.com for an inquiry.
2. In the admission email, students will be invited to join the WeChat group of the summer school and be required to register for an account.
7. Program assessment
1. Consists of three parts: online submission of table tennis training videos and photos + study notes + full attendance.
2. During the period of the Program, the attendance rate must be above 90%, and the homework must be submitted on time before graduation.
8. Obligations of both parties
1. The applicant must guarantee that the application information and materials submitted are true and ensure that his or her health condition is applicable to the Program. Whoever practices fraud will bear the consequences.
2. During the implementation, Shanghai University of Sport only undertakes the obligation of teaching, and the offline activities of the students shall be irrelevant to Shanghai University of Sport.
3. Students who participate in the Program are deemed to have agreed to the rights and responsibilities of the Program and are willing to comply with the relevant Chinese laws and the relevant regulations on the management of overseas students of Shanghai University of Sport.
9. Graduation Certificate
All participants should actively engage in activities arranged by SUS, an absence rate of one third would lead to a failure in completing this program and participants will not be issued graduation certificates.
Those participants who complete all the courses and training program would be awarded a graduation certificate issued by CTTC, SUS.

The college will arrange and cover the accommodation, daily meals and training expenses in Shanghai.

11. Food Communication
Dining
During the activity, three daily meals will be provided for participants in the 2nd students’ canteen. Breakfast is 6:30-9:00, Lunch is 10:30-12:45, Dinner is 16:30-18:00, please come to the canteen on time.
Mobile phone SIM card
If you would like to buy a mobile phone SIM card, you need to go to a local service store in person with your passport. Our volunteers will help you do this after your arrival.
Cash
You can exchange money in your country or exchange in Shanghai, volunteers will show you the bank.
12. Medical Assistance
It is common that people may feel uncomfortable due to food, weather, water, or jet-leg etc. Our team prepares daily basic medicine for common disease. But once you feel sick or require health care assistance please inform SUS volunteer.
During your stay with the Summer School Program, SUS will buy you one-month accidental injury insurance. This insurance only offers compensation for accidental injuries under Chinese medicare system. It does not compensate for common disease, acute disease nor history disease or injuries. If you are severely sick or hospitalized or require a surgery, and provided it is falling under the Chinese medical coverage, you will be refunded 85% of the total amount you paid. Please be noted it is a pre-paid insurance, you need to pay first for all expenses that occur and claim compensation later with all required receipt and certificates.

14. Attention
1. Do remember to hang out together, you should ask for leave from the teacher if you want to go out alone.
2. You may pay attention to diet health, do not drink tap water, do not eat roadside food.
3. Please take care of your wallet and passport, avoid carrying too much cash, and do not put your cell-phone in your coat pocket. Do remember to put the bag in front of you, don’t forget to zip up your bag.
4. Please pay attention to safety of using electrical appliances, cut off all the power when you leave.
5. For safety consideration, you are advised to stay in dormitory after the daily program and avoid going out in late evenings.
中国乒乓球学院是由上海市人民政府与中国乒乓球协会共建的世界第一所集教学、训练、科研与国际交流于一身的专业乒乓球单项学院，坐落于中国上海体育大学。人才培养包括本科生、研究生和博士，并肩负着培养优秀青少年乒乓球运动员的使命。中乒院每年举行的暑期学校活动，旨在进一步推进世界乒乓球项目的发展，提高青少年乒乓球运动员的技术水平。
1. 招生对象
本年度的暑期学校将招募至少20名来自世界各地的外籍青少年乒乓球运动员、乒乓球运动爱好者、体育学专业学生（乒乓球方向），年龄限制为16-25周岁。报名者可以有一定乒乓球基础，也可以是乒乓球运动的爱好者，并对中国文化有浓厚的兴趣（项目中将包含中国和乒乓球文化相关活动）。
2. 活动条件
运动员需熟练掌握英语或中文以便更好地交流沟通。中乒院将免费提供训练场地、相关学习材料、上海市内交通、食宿以及专业乒乓球训练团队。
3. 具体安排
本次暑期学校将于6月19日至7月19日举行（具体日期将根据实际情况进行调整），6月19日为到达日，7月19日为离开日，活动实际时间6月20日-7月18日。在此期间，学生们将进行乒乓球技战术训练、乒乓球文化交流以及相关参观游览等活动。该活动旨在提高学员乒乓球水平，帮助他们上海体育大学办学特色，学科特点，做好体育科学与实践的融合，了解中国文化。

6. 录取通知

2． 录取邮件内，学员将被邀请加入暑期学校微信群，请学员提前注册账户。
7. 项目考核
1. 包括三部分：在线提交乒乓球训练的视频和照片+撰写学习心得+按时出勤。
2. 项目期间，出勤率须在90%以上，结业前必须按时提交作业。
8. 双方义务
1. 申请人须承诺所提交的申请信息和材料属实，并确保自身健康状况可参与该项目。凡弄虚作假者，自行承担后果。
2. 该项目执行期间，上海体育大学只承担教学义务，学员在项目期间的线下活动与上海体育大学无关。
3. 参与该项目的学员，视为同意该项目的权责约定，且愿意在项目期间遵守相关中国法律和上海体育大学留学生相关管理规定。
9. 毕业证书
所有学员应积极参加上海体育大学安排的活动，缺勤率超过1/3的学员视为未完成本项目，并且不颁发毕业证书。
完成所有课程和训练计划的学员将获得上海体育大学中国乒乓球学院颁发的结业证书。
10. 住宿安排
中乒院将安排并承担学员在上海的住宿、饮食和训练费用。

活动期间将在第二学生食堂为参训人员提供三餐，早餐为6:30-9:00，午餐为10:30-12:45，晚餐为16:30-18:00，请学员们按时就餐。

12. 医疗协助
学员们可能会因为食物、天气、水或时差等原因而感到不舒服，这是很常见的。我们的团队会时刻准备常见病的日常基本药物。一旦您感到不适或需要医疗援助，请通知上海体育大学的志愿者。
在您参加暑期学校项目期间，学校将为您购买一个月的意外伤害保险。该保险只在中国医疗保险制度下对意外伤害进行赔偿。它不补偿常见病、急性疾病、历史疾病或伤害。如果您病重、住院或需要手术，并且是在中国医疗保险范围内，您将获得您所支付金额的85%的退款。请注意，这是一种预付保险，您需要先支付产生的所有费用，然后用所有必需的收据和证明来索赔。

14. 注意事项
1. 保持集体行动，如需单独外出应先向老师请假。
2. 注意饮食卫生，不喝自然水，不吃路边摊食物。
3. 请保管好自己的钱包和护照，避免携带过多现金，手机不要放在外衣口袋。记得把背包放在你的身前，不要忘记拉上报背包拉链。
4. 使用电器要注意安全，离开房间应切断所有电源。
5. 为安全考虑，建议在日常活动结束后留在宿舍，避免深夜外出。
